Eduardo Leardini Petter

Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution department of BMA Advogados in São Paulo. Previously worked in the International Arbitration department at Lee, Taube and Gabardo Advogados and in the Civil Litigation department at Justen, Pereira, Oliveira & Talamini Advogados, both based in Curitiba. Holds an LL.B from the Federal University of Paraná (2018). Published his undergraduate thesis on the recognition and enforcement of annulled arbitral awards as the winner of a contest held by the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr).

Luiza de Souza Braz

Lawyer in the Arbitration department of MAMG Advogados in São Paulo. Bachelor of Law from the University of São Paulo (USP/SP). Exchange student in an academic exchange program at Universität Passau (2019-2020). Participated in the Munich International Summer Programme at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2020). Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree on Private International Law at the University of São Paulo (USP/SP). Represented the University of São Paulo in several academic competitions, nationally and internationally, including  the Brazilian Arbitration Competition the Willem C. Vis and East International Commercial Arbitration Moots.

Rafaella Farias Pereira

Associate at Lefosse Advogados in Sao Paulo. She has four years of experience with arbitration, including both international and domestic cases, and has experience leading witness evidence in international arbitration hearings. Rafaella completed her undergraduate studies at the University of São Paulo (USP), and her postgraduate studies at FGV Law in São Paulo. She represented USP as a participant and coach in multiple advocacy competitions worldwide, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, the Concours d'Arbitrage International de Paris (CAIP), the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition, and the IBA-VIAC Mediation and Negotiation Competition.

Maria Luiza Mayr Maia

Legal intern in the arbitration practice of Lauro Gama Advogados. Previous work experience in the dispute resolution practice of Sergio Bermudes Advogados and at PUC-Rio’s Human Rights Centre, in Rio de Janeiro. Currently pursues an LL.B at PUC-Rio (2022). Visiting student at Sciences Po Paris (2021), holding a Certificate of Studies in Social Sciences and Humanities. Previously attended the Hague Academy Summer Course on Public and Private International Law (2021). She has also taken part of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (2019) and is engaged in research projects in commercial and investment arbitration.
