Joana Holzmeister e Castro
Associate at Lefosse Advogados in São Paulo. Her practice is focused on arbitration, having advised companies and state-owned entities in the technology, energy, construction, and food industries in contractual and post-M&A disputes. She holds an LLM in International Commercial Law from University College London (UCL) and an LLB from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
Patricia Albuquerque Pimentel
Lawyer in the Arbitration department of MAMG Advogados in São Paulo, with prior experience from having worked at the Association for International Arbitration (AIA). Holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Coimbra (2018) and an LL.B from PUC-RJ (2016). Published an article defending the systematic publication of decisions on challenges to arbitrators and wrote her thesis on independence and impartiality of arbitrators.
Renata Auler Monteiro
Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution department of Sergio Bermudes Advogados in Rio de Janeiro. LL.M. Candidate at Columbia Law School (2022), acts as a research assistant to Professor George A. Bermann. Holds a Postgraduate degree in International Commercial Arbitration from PUC-RJ (2019) and an LL.B from PUC-RJ (2017). Former President of the Comitê de Jovens Arbitralistas (“Young Arbitrators Committee”) from the Centro Brasileiro de Mediação e Arbitragem (2016-2019).

Emily Cavalcante Westphalen
Associate in the International Arbitration department at Herbert Smith Freehills New York LLP. Previously worked in the International Arbitration departments at Beretta Godoy in Buenos Aires, Clyde & Co in London, Dechert LLP in Paris and Lee, Taube and Gabardo in Curitiba. Holds an LL.M in International Business Regulations Litigation and Arbitration from New York University (2018) and an LL.B from Centro Universitario Unicuritiba (2015).

Thiago Del Pozzo Zanelato
Lawyer in the Arbitration department of Pinheiro Neto Advogados in São Paulo. LL.M. Candidate (International Law) at the University of Cambridge (2022). Holds a LL.B (2016) and a Masters' Degree on Law and International Economics Relations (2020), both from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC-SP. Former Executive Secretary of the ICC Brazilian Arbitration and Mediation Commission (2019-2020) and listed among the roster of arbitrators of the Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration from the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. Also acts as Arbitrator Intelligence Ambassador for Brazil.
