Joana Holzmeister e Castro

Lawyer in the Arbitration and Litigation department of Lefosse Advogados in São Paulo. Previously worked in the International Arbitration departments of WilmerHale in London and Shearman & Sterling in Paris. Holds an LL.M in International Commercial Law from University College London (2016) and an LL.B from PUC-RJ (2015). Contributor of Brazilian case law to the UNCITRAL Guide, developed by Shearman & Sterling LLP and Columbia Law School, in cooperation with UNCITRAL.

Patricia Albuquerque Pimentel

Lawyer in the Arbitration department of L.O Baptista Advogados in São Paulo, with prior experience from having worked at the Association for International Arbitration (AIA). Holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Coimbra (2018) and an LL.B from PUC-RJ (2016). Published an article defending the systematic publication of decisions on challenges to arbitrators and wrote her thesis on independence and impartiality of arbitrators.

Renata Auler Monteiro

Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution department of Sergio Bermudes Advogados in Rio de Janeiro. Holds a Postgraduate degree in International Commercial Arbitration from PUC-RJ (2019) and an LL.B from PUC-RJ (2017). President of the Comitê de Jovens Arbitralistas (“Young Arbitrators Committee”) from the Centro Brasileiro de Mediação e Arbitragem.

Emily Cavalcante Westphalen

Lawyer, Associate in the International Arbitration department at Herbert Smith Freehills New York LLP. Previously worked in the International Arbitration departments at Beretta Godoy in Buenos Aires, Clyde & Co in London, Dechert LLP in Paris and Lee, Taube and Gabardo in Curitiba. Holds an LL.M in International Business Regulations Litigation and Arbitration from New York University (2018) and an LL.B from Centro Universitario Unicuritiba (2015).

Thiago Del Pozzo Zanelato

Lawyer in the Arbitration department of Pinheiro Neto Advogados in São Paulo. Holds an LL.B from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC-SP (2016) and is currently pursuing a Masters' Degree on Law and International Economics Relations in the same university (2020). Executive Secretary of the ICC Brazilian Arbitration and Mediation Commission and listed among the roster of arbitrators of the Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration from the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. Also acts as Ambassador for Brazil in Arbitrator Intelligence’s AIQ Campaign.
